Mountaineer | Executive Chef, Books and Bricks Cafe, Srinagar

MA, Political Science and International Relations | Diploma in Contemporary Dance and Mixed Martial Art

In 2009, like most other 19-year-olds, Krushnaa Patil was also busy not attending college. Instead, she became the youngest Indian to enjoy the breathtaking landscape of the majestic Himalayas from the summit of Mount Everest. But that’s not all she was doing at the age of 19. Apart from being the youngest Indian atop Mt. Everest, she had already completed a diploma in contemporary dance and mixed media art while simultaneously winning numerous national college level dance festivals.

A year after Krushnaa became the youngest Indian to reach the summit of Mt. Everest, she had also attempted to climb the highest peak in every continent and became the first and youngest Indian on the highest peaks in Antarctica, South America and Europe.

Krushnaa is part of the Access Water Expedition series being run by the Bancroft and Arnesan Explorers. The team consists of one woman from each continent led by Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesan, who were the first women to cross the Antarctica unsupported. These expeditions will follow a water crisis on every continent every alternate year. The Access Water Expedition began with a source to sea Ganga Expedition in November and December, 2015.

Why Krushnaa?

When Krushnaa isn't climbing, she's busy drawing from her experiences as a mountaineer to give motivational speeches as an INK Talks fellow and an UNCTAD facilitator. She's a regular speaker at the IITs, IIMs and has even given three TedX talks.

Apart from motivational topics, recently having been to one of the most beautiful treks, the one to the base of the mightiest peak, Krushnaa Patil is back with the most amazing stories of the mountains and a whole new experience to her never ending list.

She is all set to take every human out there to the world of the majestic beauties, to a trek to the Everest Base Camp!
