Founder, ‘AskAnnie’ | LinkedIn Top Voice – 2018 & 2017

M.Phil., University of Calcutta

Annesha started her public speaking journey with Toastmasters journey in 2015 as a member of the community club, ‘Salt Lake Toastmasters Club’ in Kolkata, India. Her turning point came when she undertook the advanced project - ‘Communicating on Video’ - the speeches were very well received. Soon after, encouraged by her Toastmaster club members, she started her YouTube channel - ‘AskAnnie’ in 2016.

‘AskAnnie’ started out as a mission to help her B-school students - As a professor for business communication, she would often be approached by students enquiring about good content for GD’s and mock interviews. Her Teach For India fellowship in 2011-13 had made her aware of the acute need for communication videos for students.

That’s how she started out - so her students could learn anywhere, anytime. She created videos on communication strategies, group discussions, mock interviews and moved on to doing podcasts with entrepreneurs, business leaders and business leaders and world champions of public speaking.

She started posting her videos on LinkedIn in 2017 - with an overwhelming response. In 3 months, her articles and videos went viral - to a reach of 30k+ views. 40k+ people currently follow Annesha exclusively on Linkedin - for public speaking videos.

Linkedin recognised her efforts by naming her one of the top 15 video creators to watch - 2017 and the top 25 influencers in India - 2018.
