Dr Nishant Uppal is Associate Professor in Human Resource Management Group, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. He earned his PhD in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management from the Indian Institute of Management Indore.

He has authored two books-both best-selling- Duryodhanization (Penguin Random House) and Leadership in Organization (Pearson). He has published a number of papers in world renowned journals such as Personality and Individual Difference, Studies in Higher Education, International Journal for Selection and Assessment, Personnel Review, and Journal for Global Business Advancement etc. He has been involved in editorial activities with various international journals.

Currently he is serving as Dy Editor with Metamorphosis (An IIM Lucknow Journal listed in Sage Publications) and Associate Editor with Journal for Global Business Advancement (Listed in Emrald Publications). He specializes in the fields of knowledge management, organizational adaptation, job design, organizational structure, and personality. His research papers can be seen in Google Scholar.

He has also served at various senior level positions in firms such as Bridgestone Tyres and Aditya Birla Financial Services for about 10 years.

He has conducted and directed programs for officers from Indian Police Services, Indian Revenue Department and Judicial System (Judicial Officers). He has been involved in training and consulting for organizations like the Asian Paints Ltd, Oil India Ltd, Reliance Power Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India, NHPC, Met Life, State Bank of India, ONGC Limited, NTPC Limited.
