KNUTS.in recently had the privilege of facilitating an event for a Big 4 Consulting Firm with India’s legendary badminton player, Saina Nehwal.
Saina Nehwal is an iconic female athlete and badminton champion of India. She is the first Indian badminton player to have won an Olympic medal, the first Indian to have reached the final of the BWF World Championships, and the first Indian to have won the BWF World Junior Championships. Saina has 24 International titles to her name to date. Off the 24, 10 are superseries titles. In 2015, she reached the world number one ranking in women's singles, becoming the only female player from India and the second overall after Prakash Padukone to achieve this feat. Saina has also been honoured with several awards, like Padma Bhushan 2016, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna (2009–2010), Padma Shri (2010), Arjuna Award (2009), Most Promising Player of the Year (2008), BWF.
Despite facing multiple injuries and setbacks throughout her career, Saina has always shown great determination and resilience, making her an inspiration to an entire generation.
